Department Description

Learning and Development departing for the Oncology business unit. This is the Sales Training department.

 

This opportunity is within the Learning & Development (Training) US Oncology team at GSK. The team is responsible for:

  • Creating and sustaining training for all Sales teams within Oncology.
    • Hematologic and Women's Health Cancer
  • Collaborating with Sales/Marketing counterparts for messaging and selling skills execution of strategy. 
  • Creating and sustaining leadership training development.

Job Description

The Oncology L&D Summer Intern will help with back end systems for our department.  They will also work on special projects to help the training department with operations and help ensure we onboard new hires into GSK to the best of our ability. 

 

You will have the opportunity to learn about cross functional collaborations, how to create and coordinate a training journey and the systems involved. You will also help support the operational aspect of the Oncology Learning & Development Team.

 

This will include but not limited to: 

  • Assisting Organizational backend data and/or metadata
  • Utilize Learning Management System platforms 
  • Support L&D Specialist for live/online logistical support
  • Expert Technical Savviness is a MUST
  • Coordination with internal stakeholds/matrix partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Management, Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or similar disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365/Microsoft Teams (expertise needed).
  • Understanding of basic project managment skills (organizational skills, prioritization, follow-up and tracking). 
  • Ability to understand computer systems and doing administrative/back-end work in platforms. 
  • Will need to be able to travel a bit for team and training meetings, but not all are required. 
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week internship (May/June-August 2026).
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in training and helping others learn. 
  • Understanding of learning systems would be great but not required. 
  • Ability to think strategically. 
  • Strong communication skills, flexibilty, good decision making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including oral presentation skills.
  • Excellent Team Player that is highly self-motivated, eager to assist, and open to learning new things.
  • Expertise and proven ability to manage tenuous customer situations.
  • Demonstrated analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership presence, ability to multitask, and influence business/technical audience.
  • Digital media creation or editing skills is a BIG plus.

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position. 
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
  • This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

    In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.

    • Pay Rate Range: $22/hr to $43/hr
