The Respiratory, Immunology and Inflammation Research Unit (RIIRU) at GSK is comprised of multidisciplinary Biology teams that utilize deep scientific knowledge and technical capabilities to identify and validate novel therapeutic targets and undertake drug discovery efforts from the pre-clinical stage through to phase 1 clinical trials. This 6-month co-op student position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative research in Immunology within the Respiratory, Immunology and Inflammation Research Unit (RIIRU). We are seeking a highly motivated student to contribute to immunological assay development and novel drug target validation. In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and perform in vitro assays and apply laboratory techniques such as MSD, ELISA, flow cytometry, and RNA expression. The student will work in a matrix team environment to support delivery of project and Research Unit objectives with the highest possible scientific standards. The student will gain valuable scientific and drug discovery experience and present experimental findings while learning how to formulate and achieve clear aims and objectives.
This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including educational degree obtained.
In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.
Pay Rate Range: $21/hr to $40/hr
