Department Description

To provide dedicated operational support to the ViiV Global Medical business with flexible support across Global Medical Sciences and Franchise Medical within RDGM.

Job Description

Responsible for providing operational support for the Global Medical Operations team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing detailed understanding of source and tracking systems used by VH Operations.
    • Responsible for the input of data within source and/or tracking systems through independent and proactive gathering, entry, and interpretation of information.Using critical thinking to determine when study deliverables are expected and understanding how to communicate missing data through the proper escalation channels.
  • Provides support to Operations team to review and track study invoices and accruals, including resolution of investigator grant payments, invoice accuracy, comparison to contract and outstanding payments and assisting with Fair Market Value Assessments.
    • Assisting with collating finance details to open, manage and maintain Purchase Orders and issues with accounts payable as applicable.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, regular internal auditing, escalation of outstanding items and archiving of electronic study files for ISR programme.
    • Uses clinical knowledge to predict down-stream impacts and expectations from study-level events; understands the relationships between key clinical research documents.
    • Follows regular cadence for review based on key study events, statuses, etc.
    • Understands how to review studies to determine when key study documents are or are not applicable.
  • Entering and updating appropriate clinical systems (Veeva CTMS, Veeva eTMF, etc.)
  • Assisting the VH Operations team with ad-hoc projects, including filing, audit preparation, document/file QC and other administrative activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Pharmacy, Clinical Research, or similar disciplines.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 6-12 month co-op (May/June 2025 ~ December 2025 OR May/June 2025 ~ May/June 2026).
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible. 
  • Must be able to work onsite in Durham, NC.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledgeable in Veeva Systems

Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend.   • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
  • This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

    In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.

    • Pay Rate Range: $21/hr to $40/hr
