Department Description

Pipeline Project Management (PPM) drives decisions and enables teams to choose the best path and deliver medicines to patients faster than ever. The Business Development PPM drives fit-for-purpose planning for diligence evaluations for new BD deals and ensure there is integration planning and complete knowledge transfer between diligence team and execution teams. The BD PPM is a new organization that is also building process, tools, and best practices to continue to improve GSK’s ways of working.

Job Description

The BD PPM Intern will aid in the development of a knowledge repository for diligence, integration, and separation activities. This will include vetting existing content to identify gaps/missing information based on GSK R&D organizational structure and making recommendations and implementing improvements to the organization of the existing Sharepoint site. The role will include the review of numerous documents, identification of common themes, removing redundancy, and development of templates for future reference where appropriate.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Complete necessary training on Nucleus and Sharepoint
  • Organize and manage the content of the R&D Repository to ensure efficient access and retrieval of information
  • Review and analyze documents to uncover gaps and redundancies and make informed recommendations for the organization and layout of the repository
  • Transform existing reference files into standardized templates for consistent and efficient use; seek opportunities to incorporate best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Biology, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications and ability to train on and use Sharepoint or similar R&D data management platforms effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage and maintain the content of the R&D Repository.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with R&D stakeholders and convey recommendations clearly.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document analysis, organization, and template creation.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week internship (May/June - August 2025).
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in research and development (R&D) environments is highly desirable
  • Problem-solving skills to address organizational and technical challenges in document management
  • Experience with document management systems and software for technical document allocation and organization
  • Interest in the business side of Science

  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position. 
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
  • This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

    In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.

    • Pay Rate Range: $21/hr to $40/hr
