The Utilities Department is the technical resource for the design, installation, qualification, maintenance, and improvement of utility systems located at the GMS Rockville Site. The Utility department is responsible for the lifecycle management of utility systems used to support bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing operations; including but not limited to purified water pre-treatment and generation, clean steam, clean gas, compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, electrical panels, diesel generators, clean room air handlers.
The Utilities Engineer Intern is responsible for learning/understanding utility equipment operation, and the science behind the design of such equipment. It is important for the individual to have an engineering background that will enable sound decisions and understand the impact of those decisions on the production process and business.
