Department Description

The FFL Engineering team is responsible for maintaining equipment in a state of readiness through routine preventive maintenance and upgrades to extend its useful life.  The FFL Engineering team leads continuous improvement projects to achieve Safety, Quality and Commercial objectives. As system experts, Engineers are relied upon to lead technical investigation impacting manufacturing process.

Job Description

Performs engineering work in operations, production or maintenance environments. Analyses and develops solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. Assists Process Equipment Engineers to apply engineering standards and procedures, and provides advice on issues within the engineering field.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 6 month co-op (June ~ December 2024)
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word and the ability to learn and apply new computer programs quickly.
  • Ability to create, interpret and modify data in Excel is required.

  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
